The Bound and The Broken
Where to start?
The Bound and The Broken is a series that currently contains both novels and novellas (along with a few short stories). It is recommended you read both the novels and novellas to truly experience the world.
There are two different paths to walk down when starting your journey through Of Blood and Fire. Both are named after ancient sword movements that exist within the world.
Fellensír
To begin with The Fall is to walk the path of Svidarya – the burning winds. A sword movement famed for its unyielding aggression and fluidity. To channel the burning winds is to become the flame itself.
If you prefer to jump headfirst into a world, letting the action and high stakes consume you, then the svidarya is the path for you.

To begin your journey with Of Blood and Fire is to choose the path of Fellensír – the lonely mountain. A sword movement practiced by the warriors of The Order for when they found themselves outnumbered and alone. Fellensír is careful, precise, and relentless. You are the fortress, the unbreaking shield.
If you are the kind of reader who prefers a slower burn, immersing yourself completely in a world, learning the intricacies and terminology as you go, then the fellensír is the correct course.

Of Darkness and Light is Book 2 in The Bound and The Broken and carries on from where we left off in Of Blood and Fire.

This is where the world really opens up and our cast of characters expands.

The Exile is the second novella in The Bound and The Broken series, and should be read directly after Of Darkness and Light.

It is here we see the heart of Dayne Ateres, see the pain that has forged him, and the reason he fights.

Of War and Ruin is the third main book in the series. It's a big book. It is what I would call the mid-season finale for the series.

The Ice is the third novella in the series. In this book we visit the icelands of Valacia, and we answer questions long asked.

But this is not just a search for answers, it is an exploration of what it is to be a father, to see your entire world made flesh and blood. And what you would give to protect the ones you love.

Of Empires and Dust is the fourth and most recent instalment in The Bound and The Broken.​ Being the penultimate book in the series, this is where a lot of the threads laid out across the other books start to come together.
